About me

M.Sc University of Naples Federico II Thesis title: Preclinical characterization of PLGA nanoparticles coated with hyaluronic acid and containing quercetin.

I am a pharmaceutical chemistry student specializing in the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles. My research primarily focuses on thesynthesis, preclinical and physicochemical characterization ofnanoformulations, including assessments of size, drug release, stability, sterility, and toxicity. My work also includes protocol optimization and invitro evaluation with tumor cells. I believe this experience will enhance mytraining by expanding both my knowledge and practical skills, as well as by helping me contribute to the development of a collaborative research group workingtowards common goals.

Key words: nanotechnologies,physico-chemical characterization, cell culture, preclinical assays.

About my PhD research

Subject:

Research description: Training on the synthesis and surface functionalization of magnetic particles for their use in magnetic hyperthermia, the biological characterization of the particles and the evaluation of antitumoral properties based on hyperthermia including in vitro evaluation of antitumoral activity.

My work involves operating a triaxial magnetic field generator to apply highly controlled magnetic fields to model tumors.

-      Whatare you doing? Synthesis and functionalization of nanoparticles for the cellular internalization and the application of magnetic hyperthermia withmagnetic field to treat cancer.

-      Goal: Evaluate the influence of particle aggregation in the magnetic hyperthermia ofcolloidal gels in model tumors.

-      Keywords: Nanoparticles, nanomedicine, colloidal gels, magnetic hyperthermia, nanotechnology, rheology, cancer.
