Thesis title: Effects of nanocrystalline cellulose on rheological properties and hydration of cement-based materials.
I am a civil engineering student focused on early age properties of cement-based materials. More specifically, I am interested in the fields of rheology, hydration, 3D printing and nanotechnologyapplied to cement systems and construction in general. Being able to tune fresh state characteristics of concrete can lead to new possibilities and improvementof many processes in the construction industry.

About my PhD research
Subject: Rheology and impact of power ultrasound on mixtures of cement and limestone fillers
Research description: I am currently studying the effects of applying power ultrasound on several properties of cement paste, mainly related to its fresh state, such as rheological properties. My goal is to analyze how it can change the structure of colloidal suspensions and identify new possibilities to tune the early-age behavior of cementitious systems for industrial applications.
