Holcim innovation center located in Lyon is the first of its kind in the industry. More than 210 researchers from 21 countries work together with our partners, customers, and academic researchers, to develop innovative products, solutions, and services,as well as advanced manufacturing processes. New solutions are helping us and our customers to support a more sustainable built environment. We constantly improve our manufacturing processes, by capturing thermal energy, recycling it into the process, and sourcing power from renewable sources. We currently have over 1,500 patents or patent applications, and our network of local labs spans all five continents, being home to a great variety of in-house expertise:chemists, physicists, engineers, architects, masons, and more. We currently work with 40 leading universities around the world in fields ranging from materials science to civil engineering to sustainable construction.
