The University of Granada (UGR), founded in 1531, is one of the largest and most important universities in Spain. The UGR has been awarded with the “Human Resources Excellence in Research (HRS4R)”. The UGR is also a leading institution in research, located in the top 5/10 of Spanish universities, based on national R&D projects, fellowships awarded, publications, and international funding. For example, UGR has strongly participated in the calls of the Framework Programme (FP) of the European Union (EU). For the duration of the last two EU FPs, the UGR has obtained a total of 67 projects, with total funding of 18 M€, and for H2020, 101 projects with total funding around 25,7M€. In the Singular Laboratory in Advanced Technologies F2N2 Lab at the UGR,the Magnetic Soft Matter Group (host) carries out cutting-edge research on magnetic nanomaterials through rheomicroscopy experiments, particle-level simulations (molecular dynamics), and finite element method simulations.
